Back from holidays…. The girls’ summer holidays have come to an end, and everybody has begun their duties with refreshed efforts. Unfortunately one of the girls, Macky, did not return. When Heike enquired where she was, her aunt told her she was not coming back. No further explanation was given.... Very sad news for Macky and us, who has had so much fun at Siama. We will continue our efforts to bring her back to Siama. Happier news is that a new girl will come and live at Siama, Elaide. You will find a picture of her on the Siama Girls page. .Despite the holidays, also for Heike and her family, there remains enough to be done. It is the middle of the summer, and everything is blossoming and growing. So there is enough work in the vegetable garden. On the picture you see what Heike managed to get out of the garden.... and after cooking all the pumpkins they are put in the fridge......
Before the girls went on holidays, one of the sponsors ‘organized’ a Christmas Party for the children. Santa Claus danced with them and how strange this is for us (in our winter!), they had a swimming party and ate Pizza. It was a great event for Siama!.
It poored rain the last couple of weeks and unfortunately the roof still does not seem to be waterproof. Although we have guarantee on the roof, nothing seems to work.... very annoying. We are now going to try to treat it with a special silicon to make it waterproof. Also the electricity seems to fail at certain areas and the old pipes need replacement. This is all the news for now.
